Product Introduction:
Centrifugal spray dryers are a widely applied process in liquid forming and the drying industry. They are suitable for producing powdered and granular solid products from suspension emulsions, solutions, emulsions, and paste-like liquid raw materials. Therefore, when the finished product's particle size distribution, residual moisture content, bulk density, and particle shape all meet precise standards, the spray dryer is an ideal drying process.
Equipment Process Flow:
Features:
1. Spray drying is fast. After the feed liquid is atomized, its surface area is greatly increased. During contact with hot air, 95%-98% of moisture can be evaporated instantly, and the drying time is only a few seconds, making it especially suitable for drying heat-sensitive materials.
2. The product has good uniformity, flowability, and solubility. The higher the product purity, the better the quality.
3. The spray dryer simplifies the production process and offers convenient operation and control. Liquids with a moisture content of 40-60% (up to 90% for special materials) can be dried into powdered and granular products in one pass. After drying, no crushing or screening is required, which reduces production steps and improves product purity. The product particle size, bulk density, and moisture can be adjusted within a certain range by changing operating conditions, making control and management very convenient.
Working principle:
The spray dryer uses an open cycle, co-current flow, and centrifugal atomization. The drying medium air is filtered through primary and intermediate air filters, then drawn in by a blower according to operating instructions, heated by a heater, and enters the main spray drying tower through the hot air distributor of the filter. According to operating instructions, the liquid material passes through a peristaltic pump and enters a high-speed rotating centrifugal nozzle, where it is dispersed into fine droplets under the action of centrifugal force. Inside the main spray drying tower, the fine droplets fully contact the hot air, undergo heat exchange along a specific path, and are dried into products. They are then separated through a cyclone separator, the solid material is collected, and the gaseous medium is discharged after filtration. The entire spray system is easy to clean, has no dead corners, and meets GMP requirements.

Application Scope:
Chemical products: polyaluminum chloride, disperse dyes, reactive dyes, organic catalysts, white carbon black, laundry detergent, zinc sulfate, silicon dioxide, sodium metasilicate, potassium fluoride, calcium carbonate, potassium sulfate, inorganic catalysts, various waste liquids, etc.
Food: amino acids, vitamins, egg powder, bone powder, seasonings, proteins, milk powder, pig blood powder, soy sauce powder, coffee, tea, glucose, potassium sorbate, pectin, flavors and fragrances, vegetable juice, yeast, starches, etc.
Ceramics: aluminum oxide, zirconium oxide, magnesium oxide, titanium oxide, magnesium titanate, pottery clay, porcelain clay, various ferrites and metal oxides, etc.
Key Points:
1. Contact between hot airflow and droplets: When a sufficient amount of hot airflow enters the spray drying chamber, the direction and angle of the hot airflow must be considered. Whether it is co-current, counter-current, or mixed flow, ensuring full contact with the droplets is necessary to achieve sufficient heat exchange.
2. Atomization: The atomization system of the spray dryer must ensure a uniform droplet size distribution. This is crucial because only in this way can the qualified rate of product quality be ensured.
3. Design of pipeline angle and cone angle: We have obtained some empirical data from producing nearly a thousand spray dryer units, which can be shared with everyone.
